Teen Theater Intensive

Concentrations in Musical Theater or Advanced Acting

42nd St #1bw

Walnut Hill and The Center for Arts in Natick (TCAN) are pleased to offer a six-week theater intensive workshop series for teens.

Join Walnut Hill faculty for a six-week, master class style workshop with a choice of two unique concentrations, each focused on building onstage skills and teaching tips for success in the audition process. Students can choose to concentrate in musical theater or acting, depending on their primary interest. During the morning portion of each day, students from both concentrations will join for intensive movement classes before splitting off by concentration for focused afternoon sessions in either musical theater or stage acting.

The program is held on Walnut Hill’s campus and is taught by Walnut Hill faculty and led by theater faculty member Kirsten McKinney, an award-winning choreographer who has worked on over 200 shows, and has over 20 years teaching experience in the area’s most prestigious high schools and colleges.

The Spring 2015 program will be held Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., March 28 – May 2nd. No auditions are required and the $495 tuition fee includes daily lunch during the six-week program. Parents are invited to the last class and a celebratory post-class reception.
